THE SAGE

The Sage archetype is a wise woman, capable of objectivity, leadership, and wisdom she reaches her goals while staying emotionally self-sufficient, keeping her cool having a deep inner knowing she stands with her truth.

She has an assertiveness, persistence, resourcefulness, matched with a softness of a wise teacher.

She’s a brilliant philosopher and conversationalist. She’s charming and witty has a deeply mysterious and confident seductive side.

When out of balance, the sage can become critical judgmental and self-righteous. She can become overly old fashioned stuck in certain outdated beliefs, living from her head and intellect, disconnected from her heart, disconnected from her erotic and needing to be more vulnerable and heart based, rather than substituting external pleasures like food, projects, and animals and pets, which replace her body’s need for touch.

An out of balance Sage may have barriers, which don’t allow her to truly enjoy pleasure of the erotic and cling to the patriarchal repressed sensuality role given to women of ‘value’.
